Bedales would like to share its library with neighbours who are in need of books, and are unable to obtain them any other way as a result of being isolated. They have around 30,000 volumes, including classic and contemporary fiction, and a wide range of non-fiction. We suggest that you request around half a dozen books at a time.
At the moment it looks as though it is still lawful to deliver books to a borrower’s doorstep, but we will have to keep that under review. In order to let the Bedales librarian Ian Douglas know that you would like to borrow books:

- Then email [email protected] saying what you would like to borrow. Don’t forget to include your name and
If you don’t have an internet connection:
- Please ring Bedales Library on 01730 711609. If no one is there, leave a message. You may like to leave your name and number, and the Librarian will ring you back. If you prefer, you can leave some general guidelines (e.g. contemporary crime fiction) and have the Librarian make a selection for you.
