An invitation to a public consultation at Steep Village Hall on Wednesday 15th June 2022
The event will run between 13:30 and 15:30, and between 17:30 to 20:00. Please visit any time between
these hours, see our plans and meet the Developer, Stuart Wilson who will have a team of experts with
him to answer any questions you may have.
In July 2019 the South Downs National Park Authority (SDNPA) adopted its Local Plan and allocated the
land south of Church Road, owned by the charity Steep In Need, for residential development (between 8 and 12 homes) under their Policy SD89.
Wilson Designer Homes undertook initial pre-application discussions with the SDNPA, which concluded in Spring 2022. A site vision and series of conceptual layout options were then published in a consultation document in March 2022. The feedback from this has been used to develop our preferred layout approach for the site which will be available to view at the Village Hall on Wednesday 15th.
The purpose of this consultation is to give you the opportunity to comment on the emerging proposal from a layout perspective, as well as to chat with the planning team and pass on your views to them which we would value.
Another public consultation considering architecture, style and finishes will follow in the summer incorporating your ideas from today’s event where possible.
